BROMBONES

Brombones is the recording project of LA based artist and musician Jeremy Crabtree. The NIMH release spawns out of a 3-year experimentation journey with Brombones shifting away from traditional song writing. The material touches on issues of mental health and existentialism and the nine songs are woven together by a commonality of metaphoric storytelling and word smithing. NIMH marks a distinct change into electronic textures and beats alongside fuzz and layered vocals. This record is inspired by 80’s new wave icons such as Gary Numan, Depeche Mode and modern illuminates as Thee Oh Sees and Ty Segall. Working alongside mixing engineer Jim Watts, NIMH showcases all the strongest elements of Crabtree’s craft. This is the first Brombones release since 2018’s Black Eyed EP, and the first to be primarily performed by Crabtree. NIMH release: April 8th, 2022
